Managerial level opportunity with a leading mining house for a Remuneration Specialist to join the HR team.
The role reports directly to the Manager: Human Resources and has the following overall responsibilities in Remunerations, Payroll, Time and Attendance, HR information & Systems and Performance management, inter alia:
- Ensure that good remuneration and benefits decisions are made at the operation and aligned to Kumba specifications and processes;
- Develop governance processes and practices for the operation with regards to remuneration.
- Ensure that payroll administration processes are designed and implemented at the operation to establish high quality service delivery;
- Ensure that monitoring and auditing of bonus payments, annual adjustments, reward allocations, appointments and promotions of employees is completed to eliminate discrepancies and implement corrective actions;
- Develop strategies to implement, execute and monitor approved long and short term incentives and management share schemes;
- Be a strategic link between Corporate Reward, Global Shared Services (GSS), HR systems and the operation to ensure alignment, good governance and consistency of implementation of processes and systems;
- Review all job evaluations for new or revised jobs within the operation, and make amendments as appropriate
- Communicate any changes to the remuneration and benefits policies or procedures;
- Manage and monitor all terminations for the operation;
- Educate line managers, core HR and employees on Remuneration, Recognition & Benefits related matters through the development and delivery of a suite of educational programs and processes;
- Implement the annual performance management cycle;
- Be the super user on site for the performance management system;
- Manage HR systems and development of enhancements to meet the needs of the operation;
- Ensure Operational HR Reporting is compiled to meet the operational and company needs;
- Manage the GSS interface and payroll processes for the operation and with all other relevant service providers;
- Manage Time & Attendance administration processes and the systems interfaces between SAP and access control systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree essential – Relevant Bachelors Honours Degree equivalent to NQF Level 7
- Extensive (minimum 5 years) Remuneration, Payroll, Time and Attendance, HR Information and System experience essential
- Minimum 3 years management of a team of specialists in Remunerations, Payroll, Time and Attendance, HR Information and System experience essential
- Good experience on working with SAP HR, SAP Payroll and Advanced MS Package (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) experience skills essential. Knowledge of other relevant systems such as Remchannel
- Previous experience in the mining sector essential.
