A wonderful opportunity for a “unicorn” senior HR Manager with a strong combination of operational and strategic (exec in development) all-rounder HR management experience to join a leading mining group at one of their operations in Mpumalanga.
The mine has a strong management team, and you will report directly to the GM with dotted line reporting to the HR Executive. Managing direct reports overseeing HR and recruitment, Payroll and Training, and their respective teams, you will also have some involvement with, but not direct responsibility, for Community Development/ Social Performance.
The role will suit a generalist Senior HR Manager with exposure to operations – ideally mining, but other unionised environments such as FMCG, Manufacturing, heavy Engineering can also work. Additionally experience to the more strategic aspects of leading the HR function with a view to move into Group roles, and some exposure to ER/union engagement is essential.
You will need:
Degree in HR or related (NQF 7)
Post-graduate degree
Minimum 8 years in HR management, at least 15 years + experience in the filed
Mining or alternately manufacturing, FMCG, engineering background
Strong operational HR knowledge and and knowledge of relevant legislation
