The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of contracts for this junior miner.
This role involves the development, negotiation, managing and administration of legal contracts with suppliers, service providers, and contractors.
The Contracts Manager will also be responsible for managing contractors across various mine sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, production (product) specifications, timelines, budgets, and health and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract management and be familiar with the mining industry, understanding both the technical and operational aspects of contractor and contract management in this field.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s of Business Administration, Bachelor of Law, LLB, BSc Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in contract management (e.g., CIPS, PMP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in contract management, with at least 5 years in the mining or construction industry.
- Proven experience managing contractors, particularly on large-scale mining operations and projects.
Centurion-based role with an up and coming mining house to join the Procurement / Operations department. The role reports directly to the MD and will require travel to mining operations within South Africa – Limpopo and Northwest, 2-3 days per week.
