Exciting opportunity to take up an Engineering Manager role at the flagship mine of a top mining group and sought-after employer.
The role will suit an experienced Engineering Manager with extensive mining fixed plant experience.
You will report directly to the GM of the mine and be part of the senior leadership team. As 2.13.1 appointed Manager Maintenance Execution – Plant you will be overseeing asset strategy, leading a strong team and developing people.
The role will require permanent relocation to the Northern Cape – the employer will not consider fly-in fly-out at this time as the Engineering Manager needs to available when emergencies arise over weekends etc. They will however pay for flights once or twice a month back to Gauteng for personal needs.
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical / Electrical engineering, technical related field. (B-Tech, BSC, BEng – essential)
- Government Certificate of Compliance (GCC)
- Program in Maintenance Management – advantageous
- Driver’s License
Experience
- At least 10 years experiencein a 2.13.1 position with a strong focus on fixed plant
- Experience on DMS and Jig plants advantageous
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Project management fundamentals
- New technologies and their impact on operational activities within scope of role
