A unique role for a qualified CA(SA) with a strong interest in mining and insurance (underwriting) to join a small but very dynamic team focused on underwriting management for the mining sector.

Although the company has only been in operation since 2015 they already have 35-40% of market share. With solutions that are extremely innovative and through excellent client relationships this has positioned them way above their competitors.

Direct responsibility:

• Monthly management reporting (includes the design of reporting templates)
• Company Policies etc.
• Monthly Accounting and Tax
• Co-responsibility on product design and responsibility (Policy wording, legal and tax opinion, and SARS engagement)
• Information Technology System design and implementation; and
• Liaising with auditors regarding audit and Annual Financial Statements.

Management of:

• Deal implementation (Policy Information, Premium notifications, Record of Advice etc.)
• Oversee monthly client reporting
• Renewal of existing policies
• Service existing clients (including liaison with client’s auditors, legal and tax consultants) and
• FSCA (Compliance).

A dynamic and qualified CA(SA) with 10 years’ working experience and solid knowledge of Accounting, Tax and Systems (IT, technical). This role will include engaging with CFOs and CEOs of mining companies, their auditors, legal advisors and their insurance intermediaries, making a demand on your excellent people skills.

The role is reserved for South African citizens.
