An opportunity with a leading underground gold mining company to join the team as Section Engineer in a 2.13.1 appointment.
The role will suit a mature, seasoned and strategically oriented Engineer with specific exerience in underground trackless mining equipment and at least 2 years experience working on vertical shafts and winders (man/rock).
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering / National Diploma (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering) / NH Diploma
- Government Certificate of Competence (Electrical/Mechanical)
- Minimum 8 years Relevant Experience as a 2.13.1 or 2.13.3.1 appointment
- Experience on vertical and decline shaft, winders and TMM
- Drivers License
- Valid certificate of physical fitness
- Main Role Outcomes:
- Develop, implement and monitor adherence to engineering standards and legislative requirements.
- Allocate resources in consultation with relevant head of departments.
- Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processes and systems.
- Drive and implement action plans to achieve the mine strategy and business plans.
- Set and prepare financial budget for the section.
- Keep abreast of market trends and new technology.
- Ensure the effective management and control of human resources for optimal utilization.
